Affinity Publisher Windows App crashes PC

Recommended Posts

I recently restored my PC. Updated it to Windows 1909 and installed the Publisher App from the Windows Store. Now, whenever I try to start the App, my PC shuts down unexpectedly and has to start a repair. It doesn’t help to reinstall the App. It happens again and again. How can I use the App again? Please help me with the Problem. I also have Affinity Photo which I purchased from your site and that program works perfectly fine.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Kin.kerlitzchen.

Does your PC display the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)? If so, this FAQ entry might help:

Hi Kin.kerlitzchen,

Welcome to the forums :)

I can see from the image you've provided this is the BSOD issue that Microsoft have reported, you can find our repair steps in the thread Walt has linked above.

If you're still having trouble please contact Microsoft directly as Affinity is not the cause of this issue, many thanks!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Please read the (rewritten) FAQ which says that Microsoft have now fixed this bug in December's Windows Patch. After installing the Microsoft update you should be able to use OneDrive again
