RevRats
I have just started using Publisher having used PagePlus for many years. My query is about file sizes, on svaing a service booklet the file size on Publish was 947 KB whilst the same file on PagePlus x9 is 40KB. What am I going wrong please? In both cases the one image is linked.
Alfred
Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @RevRats. You’re not “going wrong”. As far as I’m aware, APub doesn’t yet have true linking in the PP sense: although linked content is updated if you edit the source file, the Affinity file includes an embedded copy of the content instead of simply containing a pointer to the source (so it follows that the file will generally be much bigger than its PP counterpart). Document files (PDF, .afphoto, .afdesign, ...) have a completeembedded copy, even when Linked. The 1.8 beta extends the linking to include document files as well as image files.
