We have written some answers for staff and forum regulars to refer others to. you will find it here.

There is a better description and some search tools in this post

If someone asks a question that is answered in those FAQs then you could just link to the appropriate thread instead of writing it all out yourself. There is a share link button at the top right of each post, which can be right-click copied to for paste purposes in your responses.

That forum is read only, so if you see any FAQ posts that needs tweaking (or has become out of date) please post a link to the FAQ thread here and we will correct those posts if needed.

Is it possible to write suggestions somewhere, what topic should be added to the FAQ? For example, create one thread with suggestions (within FAQ group), and leave it unlocked for forum users.

That's quite hard to do technically, and they are essential for tech support to use. I'll think about how/if this could be done.

Would be appropriate to renove the reference to the Roadmaps in this Topic:

Done. I think that article needs quite a bit of rewriting actually

Hello,

This thread was the only more or less relevant thread  where I thought it would be an appropriate place to post this:

When I visited this site in Safari on OS X 10.9.5 I was prompted to agree to receive push notifications and I agreed in a flash.

However, they don't arrive so I wonder what these notifications are supposed to be about: replies to watched threads, product news, related info?

receive push notifications

Notifications relate to forum messages - hamburger menu, bell symbol. That is, if someone directly responds (quote) to your post or evaluates it, according to the notification settings.

Product news is showing in Welcome screen after application start.

I saw one but only after I visited this page. So, it doesn't look like a typical Mac push notification, it's more like "a local notification" – as long as you have a site open you will receive, not otherwise.

Hi @Patrick Connor

I should suggest adding another type of forum (as FAQ) to the "Knowledge Base" category.

Serif has on affinityspotlight.com a lot of nice and informative articles type "news, learning resources, and inspiration" that forum users may not even know about. It could therefore be useful to create a "spotlights" forum, where links to individual articles would be placed with a brief annotation. This way they would be well-arranged displayed for forum users, and most importantly, the topics contained in them could be available when searching in the forum.
