Croping Shapes which land outside your page

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

New to affinity and have a question.

I have 2 shapes on top of each other.  A Rectangle which fits the page and a swoosh which is larger than the page.  I want to group this as one image which I have done but only keep the bits which are visible on the page and ignore the rest.

How do I do this?

Thanks,

John

Hi JayPeaa and Welcome to the Forums,

One way would be to clip the shapes to the rectangle as shown in the attached screen recording.  You just drag the grouped shapes down over the Rectangle layer until you see the small blue bar under the rectangle kind of jump to the right, i've likely described that horribly but hopefully the screen recording will help :)

You could also just use the Crop Tool and crop the overhanging parts of the shapes away.
