I have a layer containing several vector objects. On top of that is an adjustment layer. I need to merge the adjustment layer with the vector objects but the "merge" button in the adjustment layer settings doesn't do anyhing.

I also tried adding the adjustment as a child of the object layer or to a single object, but it still doesn't work.

I have attached a simple file as an example.

How do I merge the layer?

Why do you "need" to merge it? Knowing that might guide us toward the best solution for you, assuming any solution exists.

You can't merge that HSL mask with vector layers together, further one of your layers in that example is already a pixel layer (the last green one), so they are not all vector. - However, you can group all the layers and then rasterize them, which will merge the whole as/into one pixel layer then. Thus you would be leaved at the end with a single pixel layer then after grouping and rasterizing.

If you want to keep vectors group the whole, or build a montage out of the vectors.

I want to recolor vector elements in order to change the overall color composition at the early stages of an illustration. If I can’t merge the adjustment layer with the objects, I’ll have to drag the extra layer throughout the rest of the process.

Also every time I add an element to the group, the object color of said element will be changed by the adjustment.

And if I want to copy one of the elements and paste it in a different group, it will lose the adjusted color.

Merging it would be a huge help.

Thanks for the advice! I accidentally left the pixel element in there. But if I understand correctly, this doesn’t make a difference when it comes to merging the adjustment with the vector objects, which doesn’t seem to be possible? Unless I make a montage out of them, which would turn them into a single shape with a single color?

Generally speaking I'm simply looking for a way to recolor vector objects (like the recolor feature in AI).
