Hi Toontje and Welcome to the Forums,

From my understanding, the only way to reset the toolbars is to uninstall the app (which also remove the Affinity Photo folder on iCloud and Local Storage so please back these up 1st) however also from my understanding you can't customise the toolbars in the iPad version, so not sure why you would need to reset them.

If you can explain the issue further, we should be able to help without uninstalling the app :)

How can I reset toolbars etc on my Ipad?

You should never need to do this. To show the context toolbar at the bottom of the screen simply double tap the relevant mask layer. Other than the context toolbars everything on the iPad is fixed.

My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools….

I may be wrong,  but he might mean, how can we reset tools to the default values. When I draw a box, for example, and add a stroke to it, the stroke is whatever the last setting was (in this example, 600pt).

it would be great to have the stroke start at zero or some other (smaller) value rather than the last totally unrelated value.
