PyrosBrother
I encounter a bug with ruler /guide precision... As you can see the precision isn't there... I have three guides one is centered from the two others. As you can see the drawing result is not accurate... Hope this helps.
Staff Sean P Posted November 18, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 18, 2019 Hi PyrosBrother, Does the Guide Position on the ruler update itself when you manually type in 10.5 and press Enter or does it still display incorrectly? If this does correct it then it is probably just a case that the Guides Manager is rounding up the values, so whilst the ruler is showing is accurate position, the Guides Manager is rounding the value up. Unfortunately there is a known issue that the Guides Manager isn't using the decimal place value set in Preferences > User Interface. If this isn't the case would you be able to attach a copy of the offending file please?
PyrosBrother
Hello, I saved the file after posting this thread. Today I reopen it and I try to get the bug back with no success... I should zoom in with very high level to see a difference between guide position and ruler display. But if it could helps here is the file... Staff Sean P Posted November 19, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 19, 2019 Hi PyrosBrother, I do believe it is rounding up the actual value of the grid and displaying that as 10.5. If you delete that guide and re-add it by typing 10.5 in it will be correct. If you dragged it out so it read 10.5, it can introduce inaccuracies. As I mentioned this is with development to get the Guides Manager to respect the decimal places set in Preferences.

I do not move the ruler with mouse but entered the value in guides dialog box. So It could not be a rounding problem by myself for this but what could be wrong could be that I move the reference point (the 0,0 position isn't set at the top left corner of document as you can see in my sample file). I also checked the preferences and for point the decimal is set to 1 so it should be correct for 10.5 isn't it ? Regards. Oval

If you moved the Spread Origin with the mouse, that is likely to have introduced it. The issue I mentioned is that even setting the decimal place to 6 doesn't affect the Guides Manager and will always show as 1 decimal place.
