BMS
Hi Guys I've just bought an Wacom Intuos Pro Medium, to use for sketching and graphic designs. I'm just learning to use it, and would love some tips in regards to how you've setup your tablet, express keys and such. For example when the touch ring is set to zoom/scroll I can get it to scroll only. And also I would like to setup a tablet expresskey for reset rotation - but I can't figure out how to do this either. All tips for an intuitive setup is appreciated. Best regards BMS
markw
Hello BMS and welcome to the Affinity forums If you have Zoom/Scroll set in the Wacom Preferences then you need to go into Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher’s Preferences > Tools and tick ‘Use mouse wheel to zoom’. Alternately if you need to have ‘Use mouse wheel to zoom’ deactivated then in the Wacom prefs change Zoom/Scroll to just Zoom. To have a button (physical or OnScreen) for 'Reset Rotation' you first need to make sure that you have a shortcut assigned to that action in your affinity app’s 'Keyboard Shortcuts' Preferences. Then in the Wacom’s Prefs, for the physical or OnScreen buttons of your choice choose; 'Keystroke…' from the options and fill out the required fields. Regarding other Tips, as the Pro line have almost infinite customisation possibilities it’s hard to say “set this to that, and that to this” it’s going to be whatever works best for your workflow. But don’t forget to use the Wacom Tablet Utility to keep backups of your tablet’s settings. It’s very unlikely that you will need to use the Restore function but it’s nice to know that should disaster strike one day you can restore all your customised Wacom setting in just a couple of mouse clicks.
