mothandrust1
Hello, Today is my first day with Affinity Photo trial version (trying to get away from Adobe). I searched unsuccessfully for info about using Affinity on 2 monitors. With Photoshop, I always kept the image on one screen and the tools, panels, etc. on the other. I use a Mac computer, but have 2 - 19" monitors, so I like to keep the image as large as possible on one screen and all the other stuff (tools, panels, etc.)on the other screen. Can anyone tell me if this is possible, and, if so, how to set it up? It will be much appreciated by this newbie. By the way, so far I think I will like Affinity much better than Adobe PS. Staff Dan C Posted November 15, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 15, 2019 Hi mothandrust1, Welcome to the forums There are a few ways this can be achieved, firstly you can open Affinity Photo, then open your document/image. You should see the name of this document appear above the canvas and below the context toolbar. If you click and drag on this name, the document will float away from the main application and can be positioned as you see fit, on either monitor. Another option is more flexible, which is using Separated Mode. To activate this mode, go to Window>Separated Mode. This will turn each UI element into its own repositionable window, including the open document. This means you can have your document on one monitor, with your tools etc on the other. I hope this helps! Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
