bnational
Icon bounces and app comes to foreground every minute or every few minutes. I tried this but it didn't help. Running High Sierra on a mid 2011 iMac
Staff Chris B Posted November 14, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 14, 2019 Hey bnational, Can you record a video of this happening? I've seen this reported before but the 'reset' should normally fix it. It's like you've got a notification toast or something that may be obscured or hidden by something which is why a video may really help us. bnational
Around the 36 second mark the icon (8th icon from the top, left of screen) bounces and Affinity comes to the foreground. affinity.mp4
Jeremy Bohn
There's an alert that says "External application is reading file" which pops ups and then quickly goes away.
bnational
Quote There's an alert that says "External application is reading file" which pops ups and then quickly goes away. Ahh . . good clue. The way I used to work was I'd export an image from Apple Photos and then open it in Affinity. Now instead I right-click the image (in Photos) and select "Edit With" > "Affinity Photo". That's what's causing the problem of rhe bouncing icon and Affinity coming to the foreground.
