jgutter@verizon.net
Will Affinity Photo stack images? A typical shot for me is between 30 and 60 images. I'm using a Canon 5Ds and macro lens. Thanks, James
Staff TonyB Posted July 9, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 9, 2015 If you mean does Affinity Photo stitch the images together automatically, then no we don't offer that functionality the moment.
JimGoshorn
Not stitching Tony. Focus stacking is where you have multiple images taken with different parts of the subject in focus for extended depth of field. Then you would load them into AP where they would be stacked one on top of another and aligned to each other and the out of focus areas of each image would be masked. The result is a composite where everything is in focus. anon1
Staff TonyB Posted July 9, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 9, 2015 Yes, sorry reading too quickly. I know the guys have been talking about Focus stacking so it's something we are thinking about. anon1

Thanks, James Just got round to reading this thread and I would agree with James. Photo stacking is an important part of any macro photographers work flow and would be a fantastic addition to AP. Please give it close consideration for future upgrades... :) Alan
