Not stitching Tony. Focus stacking is where you have multiple images taken with different parts of the subject in focus for extended depth of field. Then you would load them into AP where they would be stacked one on top of another and aligned to each other and the out of focus areas of each image would be masked. The result is a composite where everything is in focus.

Will Affinity Photo stack images? A typical shot for me is between 30 and 60 images. I'm using a Canon 5Ds and macro lens.

Just got round to reading this thread and I would agree with James. Photo stacking is an important part of any macro photographers work flow and would be a fantastic addition to AP. Please give it close consideration for future upgrades... :)

Yes, sorry reading too quickly. I know the guys have been talking about Focus stacking so it's something we are thinking about.

 

Excellent...I too am wanting to see this implemented in AP.
