darita
Ok...as usual, I scan a an image as a PDF, then open it in AD. In Pixel Persona, I Rasterize a section, copy, but when I go to Paste it on another page, the entire image Pastes. What am I doing wrong? By the way, the image is not locked. Pšenda
Image Layer or Pixel Layer? To copy part of an image, it must be converted to Pixel Layer, otherwise it is treated as a whole. darita
This is an image from a card that I scanned in my scanner. I tried it 2 ways...first as a PDF, then as a JPEG. I was not able to Copy/Paste from the PDF, however later, I was able to Copy/Paste from the JPEG. Why?

You would need to Rasterize that layer to make it a (Pixel) layer before you can copy part of it. In your initial post you said that you rasterized "a section" of it, and it's not clear to me what you mean by that. What, exactly, did you do? darita
Walt, sorry for the confusion on my part. I'm a novice at this. I used the Brush Selection Tool to select a part of the image.
darita
Walt, you are exactly right! The PDF version came over as an Image, whereas the JPEG version came over as Pixel. So, will all PDF pics be Image layers and JPEG be Pixel layers? How can I convert one to the other? walt.farrell
