DBoly
Hi I’ve got the desktop version and have just purchased the iPad version. However using my iPad I find that whilst I can access files within Photos easily, I can’t open any files in the iCloud Drive. What am I doing wrong? I can see the files in the drive but I can’t access them. The message I get is “The file xxxxxx couldn’t be opened.” It’s the same whether the file is JPEG, RAW or ORF. The files each have a cloud symbol next to them If that’s important. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Staff Callum Posted November 11, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 11, 2019 Hi Dboly, If you save the files from the cloud to your ipad do they import into Affinity? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
DBoly
Thanks C for your help. It seems that the problem doesn’t lie with Affinity only because I can’t open any type of files in the Files app. All I get is the download (cloud with an arrow) symbol and everything stalls. I can access and open everything on my iPhone, but not with my iPad. I’ve tried all the suggestions in Google and Apple support without any luck. Really puzzled! DM1
Try hard resetting the iPad. Hold down power off switch until you get the shut down option. Then restart. Sometimes a reboot 'fixes' things. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). DBoly
Thanks DM1. That’s done the trick! Thought I’d done everything but the most obvious (only when it’s pointed out)! Now I can get on with using the iPad version. Thanks everyone (until the next problem)..... DM1
