Can’t open files in iCloud Drive

Recommended Posts

Hi

I’ve got the desktop version and have just purchased the iPad version. However using my iPad I find that whilst I can access files within Photos easily, I can’t open any files in the iCloud Drive. What am I doing wrong?

I can see the files in the drive but I can’t access them. The message I get is “The file xxxxxx couldn’t be opened.”  It’s the same whether the file is JPEG, RAW or ORF.  The files each have a cloud symbol next to them If that’s important. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks C for your help. It seems that the problem doesn’t lie with Affinity only because I can’t open any type of files in the Files app. All I get is the download (cloud with an arrow) symbol and  everything stalls. I can access and open everything on my iPhone, but not with my iPad. I’ve tried all the suggestions in Google and Apple support without any luck.  Really puzzled!

Try hard resetting the iPad. Hold down power off switch until you get the shut down option. Then restart. Sometimes a reboot 'fixes' things.
