Gear maker
Has anyone a suggestion on how to extend a gradient without messing up all the internal nodes. Say I basically want to add a new end node a certain distance past the existing end node. If I just grab the existing end node and drag it, the other nodes I have between will be moved proportionately in that direction. How can I move that end node without moving the interior nodes? v_kyr
Endnodes when moved to right/left usually stretch/shrink the whole gradient, but nodes inserted inbetween those can be moved freely between them. The auxiliary cursor when selecting a node indicates the way a node will react when moved. I am guessing you have a gradient of x length and want it to be x + k without the stops at a, b, c and d to move on the page. This cannot be done because the stops are set by % of the width of the gradient, not set physical distances. Have to move the stops by hand, a pain if it is a dozen or more. As @v_kyr stated, use the modifier keys. • Move the end node • hold down Shift (or other modifier) to move the interior nodes in proportion back to their original spots. One click moves all in the case of Shift. • Add new node if needed. Roger C, Old Bruce, Gear maker and 1 other 3

Gear maker
JimmyJack, that method worked pretty good. I only had to replace the one node. Much better. Thanks for the help. Quote iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra
