Hi,

So far I am getting on well with Publisher.  I am writing a book using Publisher, it will be say 400 pages plus loads of photos.  I was a user of InDesign and here I had folders for each chapter, these contained the illustrations and the InDesign file for that chapter.  Then there was a top-level file that joins them all together and sorts out page numbering.

So far I have been unable to find if Publisher has a similar-ish facility.  I really do not want to have a massive file with say 1,000 illustrations.  Can someone advise please?

There is not presently a book function in APub.

Your options are to either have a single file or to use separate files, restart numbering via sections, be mindful of what page you end on and if needed to add separate page at the end of a chapter, export each one to pdf and combine the pdfs.

You can link illustrations, so they stay outside the work file.
