Affinity Publisher keep spin me round and round

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I downloaded and start to use AP trial for the first time and drag and drop the AD files into each pages on AP. But so far it only reach 10 pages plus and it already keep freeze and the spinning wheel keep show up whenever o do something.

my AD files has groups of pictures and vectors so i can have few pages of elements with just 1 AD file.

i use link and not embed for these AD files, but my AP file still show as like 2 gb, is this mean they embedded? I checked the resource manager and they are linked

Currently when using Publisher all files are embedded, this is why the overall file sizes are large. Changes to this process are being made and more options will be available in future versions.

When you start to get a spinning wheel, try checking the Task Manager/ Activity Monitor to see what the system is doing how much resources are being used.

I see, but why there’s link option then? Is this mean I better export them as pdf and import and use InDesign for now?
