appuser99
I made the "mistake" to buy Affinity Publisher directly from Affinity, and Affinity Designer via the App Store. Now this is a mess, since a. Affinity Publisher does not know anything about Affinity Designer (see screenshot, both apps are open but don't know each other) and b. in the App Store I can only update Affinity Designer. Two questions: 1. How can I clean up this confusing situation? 2. Also, I'm thinking about purchasing Affinity Photo, where should I buy it? Staff Lee D Posted November 6, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 6, 2019 Make sure that the apps you have purchased direct from our store and the Mac App Store have been updated to 1.7.3. The versions all have to be the same for the StudioLink feature to work, also make sure each that after updating to 1.7.3 each app is opened and closed at least once. This will write the version number to a file that Publisher checks to allow the StudioLink feature to work. It's up to you where you decide to purchase Affinity Photo from, the only difference is how updates are handled. Apps purchased direct will prompt you when an update is available and to download. The Mac App Store will prompt you that updates are available to download.
