weltraumpirat
Is it possible to paint a realistic looking Lightsaber blade (Star Wars like) and use this maybe for a template. I like to edit some pictures with two or more fighting Jedis / Sithlords in it. love-sietspl and Brenoca
brandbrilliance
I saw this on a video editing site. Basically they created a white thick stroke line and then added a glow to it using the right color. I've used a line stroke, mask, group with glow effect, all editable. You can play with the glow settings and blend mode, i've used screen (for a lighter more realistic effect), but you can try others. (sorry there might be some in-painting issues on the background, as I've first had to remove the existing lightsaber). Here's a JPG preview. lightsaber.zip Quote BRANDbrilliance • Graphics • Websites • Printing • E-marketing

peter
This is one of those moments when you ask... What is the tool called? What is it supposed to do? How do I use it? When will I use it? Haven't I seen this before? Oh yeah I have! Brenoca
Hi @weltraumpirat, a little late here but I wrote this step-by-step tutorial on how to create a lightsaber and add lighting effect (not just glow), for a realistic lightsaber. https://collectibleshq.com/add-a-jedi-lightsaber-to-photos-in-3-easy-steps-affinity-tutorial Edited December 10, 2020 by Brenoca GreenLion, Alfred and jer 2

Also, the lighting in Step 3 was a great take-away for me for using in many other projects! 🌟 x 5 Brenoca 1 Quote ♥ WIN 10 AD & AP ♥ Lenovo Legion Y520 15.6" Laptop
