Affinity Publisher data merge

Recommended Posts

Customers demand Affinity merge desktop files into Affinity Publisher. I have been a Serif customer for 15 years or more, from the time before Serif software started the X series. I have used photo, web and Page Plus desktop software. I have hundreds of desktop publishing files that I cannot use with any of my three Affinity programs/ Photo-  Design- Publisher, they don't recognize these formats. I and probably thousands of Serif customers would pay the Serif/Affinity company for merging these programs and customer service. It makes NO business sense to completely abandon thousands of customers who are now angry at the company. After many months of using my Serif page plus X9 program it failed, even after completely reloading and updating it. All of my saved or exported files are saved or exported as Adobe Acrobat files regardless of intent and Affinity Publisher does not recognize any of these formats.

It is great that Affinity Publisher creates many types of files but everything must start from scratch abandoning thousands of hours of loyal and all customers works. Can anyone bring some sense into Serif/Affinity manage to rescue their Loyal customers?

Respectfully,

Bruce D. Durst
