R C-R Posted November 3, 2019 Share Posted November 3, 2019 The online & built-in help topics for the Outer Shadow effect are the same for all three Affinity apps except that the example for AP is different. Each one of them mentions an "Offset Tool" described as setting "angle and offset simultaneously" & a gear icon named "Layer Effects" described as providing "access to the Layer Effects dialog for more advanced settings and controls." From what I can tell neither of those things are present in the effect window. In this post, @carl123 helped me understand that the Offset Tool & the gear icon are actually in the Effects panel rather than in the Layer Effects panel dialog window, but I still think the Outer Shadow help topic needs to make that much clearer than it does now.
