Affinity Publisher - custom bullets

Recommended Posts

I am trying to set a style with a custom character for bullets using a font installed on my system. I am able to get the character to appear as a bullet, but cannot seem to figure out how to get indent space between the character and the text that follows the bullet. Do I just need to increase the indent somewhere? The character I'm using isn't round (sort of a carrot shape) and am wondering if it is just a matter of spacing, but I've tried increasing spacing so far with no luck.

Welcome to the forum Maureen,

Which font is it?

You could make a sample document with the bullet style in it showing what you have at the moment and upload it here.

You can type any characters you want into the Text field in “Bullets and Numbering” so if you just want a space after your bullet then just type a space after it. Alternatively, you can copy a character (or string of characters) and paste it/them into the Text field. Or you can press the “More...” button to directly enter any glyph from any font.
