DougKing
What do I need to change to prevent Affinity from altering colours in the final rendering process of stitching panoramas? I have only tried stitching a few panoramas and in some the effect is barely noticeable, but with others it is devastating. With these ones, the final step in the stitching process blows out the colours no matter what colour profile I use for the imported files and set as a default for new documents in the preferences menu. (So far I have tried with Profoto and AdobeRGB for the source files and Profoto, AdobeRGB and sRGB as the default for new files) It is difficult to explain - so here is a video of the process with the colour destruction happening at the last moment before rendering completes. Staff Lee D Posted October 31, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 31, 2019 Hi DougKing, Can you PM me a download link to the files you've used in the video so I can try the process on our systems.
DougKing
Apologies, this is clearly the result of operator error. A recent update to my raw processor has introduced a bug into my workflow, which I hadn't spotted. This resulted in different white balance on some of the frames I have been trying to stitch. The colour change appears simply to be Affinity doing its job and normalising the white balance across all frames before finally merging the image. My mistake and not a bug with Affinity - thanks.
