BradKoerner
Hi Affinity, I have an urgent problem. Today when I went to open Designer, as soon as it seems to load the program it immediately vanishes. It appears to load OK, even briefly flashes the full window of the program, then disappears. No instance of it remains in Task Manager. Win10 Home version 1903, Designer 1.7.3.481 I restarted the computer - same problem. I went to the original 1.7.3 download file EXE and selected "repair" - same problem. Uninstalled complete, restarted computer, reinstalled - same problem. Designer was working fine all week, suddenly today it won't open. I've changed nothing on the laptop this week - no new software, no new drivers, no Windows updates (as far as I can tell). Please help!!!!! -Brad
Staff Lee D Posted October 30, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 30, 2019 Can you check for the following Windows update KB4515384, if it's installed, uninstall it and try our app again, this has been known to cause some opening issues. Try resetting the app to see if that resolves the issue. Hold down the CTRL key and open, when the window appears, release the key and click Clear. You can also check the Windows Event Viewer Windows Logs > Application, to see if any errors or warnings show for Designer at the same time you was opening the app.
BradKoerner
Hi Lee, Thanks! Resetting the App solved the problem immediately. FYI...I wasn't able to uninstalled the Windows Update - that update was a cumulative update and wasn't listed individually in the Uninstall Updates section of Windows.
