Leander Taubner
Hi, i hope this is not asked else where, but i didn't find it. I have a layer with a path (Circle). In the circle layer are many strokes, all seperate layers. So the circle has a pattern of strokes in it. I want to color all the strokes at once, but can't select them all at once, or color them with the circle. I have to selsct them all seperate (Or via drag). This would't be so bad, but it is getting quiet a bit of work if you have this combination of layers often in one document. Layer_1_All-The-Circles└ Layer_2_Circle_1└└ Path_1└└ Path_2└└ and so on└ Layer_3_Circle_2 (Same as Circle_1, just a different size)└ Layer_4_Circle_3 (Same as Circle_1, just a different size)└ and so on I want to color all the paths, in all the circle-layers, but if i select the circle layer it only colors the stroke of the circle. Can i color ALL the strokes, nested in one path-layer? Thanks a lot!
MickRose
Hello Leander - what program are you using? In Designer (and Publisher I'd think) you can nest layers. Selecting Layer1 selects all the sublayers and all the items can have the stroke colour changed. Do you mean something different? Leander Taubner
Hi And thanks for the response. I think that was my problem. I dind't use groups, and just nested the layers. With the group i can change all the content layers at once. If i just nest the forms in the circle (like in the picture attached) i only can change each form by its own. I thought nesting would be the same like making a group. Thanks a lot! (Using Designer btw )
MickRose
Yes, grouping them is best. The way I suggested won't work if you are using the parent layer as a mask. Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
