The roadmap lists the features which are due to be added before version 2.0. I don’t know what more you expect Serif to tell us.

Yes, I asked about updating the roadmap to tell what is coming next, before the 2.0 comes out. Nothing about what will come to the 2.0 then.

That seems reasonable. We have said when features are removed from the list because they have been added others may be added, until we decide to stop adding to the list and save further new features for version 2.x

@Patrick Connor can we expect 1.7 in next fortnight? As I can see versions 1.6.1, 1.6.2 and 1.6.3 came very quickly.

... and there it is.  Grab a pint and fire up the computer.  Make that Affinity Photo scream while you crank out the most amazing post production you can.  When the folks at Serif decide the time is right, presto!

Still debating if I want to go to the App Store and load up Affinity on my MBP or go to the Adobe site and drink some kook aid.

Why would you not want the App Store to put Affinity on your MBP?????

Of course, you could always just go with unsecured non-sandboxed software from elsewhere.... ;)

Are the points on post#1 the current ones? If so, here my wishes to 2 points:

For me the media-browser is very important, here some buggy and missing stuff

0.

I really like the explorer-like-path-collapse-naviagtion (much better than osx-finder-click and click and click), please keep this navigation-concept!!!

1.

The browser does not remember any folders -fix this asap!

2.

I never use osx-photos-app. An unwanted click on this useless (static) item pops up the rainbow-ball... sometimes AP crashes....

3.

A 3-divided window: The path-explorer left, the preview right and a rider/tab on the top for favorite-folders (real and smart, filters/tags) and managing-tools (eg. look and preview also items in subfolders....).

4.

SVG- and other relevant "suffix" preview

5.

Tags and smart-folders....

6.

I would like to have the browser as a complete AP-manger, for open/save and organize my files, but also any kind of"presets", eg. for palettes, brushes, styles... and other AP related stuff.

############

For the export-persona i would like to have presets for custoum-sizes (with special just-preview-grids inside the slice-boxes) and a easy way to position my layer/group) inside the box / THIS special, just-here-grid in the box (very helpful for some UI-exports).

Further: if i do not export 133 items, the booth riders could combined into one place. And the background layer should be unchecked by my default...

-----------------

But however: Thank you Serif, AP is a very nice piece of SW!

OSX 10.13.5  / iMac Retina 27" / AMD Radeon R9 M380 / Metall: on!

Try XnViewMP and you don't need Mediabrowser or Finder anymore.

XnView is very fast (faster than Adobe Bridge), you can configure it massive to your own taste and it shows thumbnail previews for affinity files. And the best, complete free for private use!

+1 for Holding Shift and drawing Straight Lines please.

As an illustrator who uses your Photo and Designer software daily.  Having the ability to draw straight lines like in PS, would be great. just hole shift and it locks to either horizontal or vertical. Even better would be locking or sapping to the grid of your choosing.

Affinity Photo, like Designer, already has this. Just select the Pen Tool (& optionally the Polygon or Line mode), hold down shift when placing the next node & it will be constrained to horizontal, vertical, or 45° placements. For straight lines at arbitrary angles, just use the Polygon or Line mode & click to place nodes wherever you want. This also works in conjunction with the various snapping options, including snapping to a grid (which can be customized via the Grid & Axis Manager), & to guides, margins, page spread, & so on.

Hey Affinity Team

will it be possible in one of the next versions to create groups and to move layers in it when creating a macro?

I think you can already do this in macros

Use CTRL + G to create a group

Then, on the layer you want to move

Edit > Cut
Edit > Paste Inside

to move the layer into the Group

thank you for the answer
I can not do it :(
what do I want to do?
I want to create a curves layer, then mask it.
the same again (for dodge and burn)
then create a new pixel layer with white fill and blendmode on color.
These three layers should be in a group.

In the macro record is not possible to select several layers and to group them.
if i choose another layer, a popup will come up and i have to confirm why?

Often I can not select this layer then.

I want to create a very simple macro, 3 layers and group them,  but it does not work. :(

After you create your 3 layers...

Select > Select All Layers
CTRL+G  (to group the layers)

What if you have more than three layers but you only want to group three of them? I don’t think there’s currently any way to do that in a macro.
