Affinity Photo, Designer or Publisher for website mockups?

Recommended Posts

I bought Affinity Photo a few years ago and think it works quite well for making website mockups. Is it the best program for this or is Affinity Designer or Affinity Publisher a better fit?

I ask this because there seems to be no program specificly made for this case.

Thanks!

Hi jens79 :)

Unfortunately as you've mentioned we don't have a specific app for this, however I would suspect Designer could be better for this as it has more vector tools than Publisher.

You can find a free 10 day trial for the apps below, I recommend downloading these and trying them for yourself!

Designer - https://affinity.serif.com/designer/trial
Publisher - https://affinity.serif.com/publisher/trial

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

I prefer to use Designer as you can do a lot with constraints and it's a good place to create any SVG graphics to be used for the final websites (and use Photo for any images needed for the site). There are programs specifically made for web design, though, such as https://www.figma.com/ or https://www.sketch.com/ . I still prefer to use Affinity Designer for my web mock-ups and design, though.
