Crashing when scrolling down to a certain point.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I'm having an issue where when I'm scrolling down about past halfway the document I linked it crashes, it just quits with no warning or error.

I tried different rendering settings, I was using it with the dGPU but switched to and it seems more stable with CPU but still crashes.

Note: This file was originally opened as a .PDF and then saved as a .AFPUB file, I believe the .PDF was created in InDesign.

Thanks!

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (User file crashes app when scrolling) of the program in the latest customer beta. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below.

The latest beta builds are downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts.

These betas install parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version.

Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.8.0 update/patch to all customers.

do you have a crash report you could share @Rock Wallaby

Pauls, I have accepted crashes as part of the risk in using Beta Publisher but build 1.8.0.556 seems to be more prone to crashing. Not only from scrolling as per this topic but also when I use the Text Wrapping panel.

Having never submitted a crash report before I am assuming you want the files from the reports folder which is shown in the attached image.

Thanks,
