MickRose
Title says it. I'd like to be able to rotate an object with a layer effect and have the option of locking the layer effect to the object. So, for example, a drop shadow would rotate as the object is rotated. walt.farrell
Perhaps I don't understand what you're asking for, but when I apply a layer effect to an object it is firmly attached, and when I rotate the layer the effect rotates with it. For example, in the attached .afdesign file, if I rotate the arrow the shadow rotates with it. arrow.afdesign Original: Rotated: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.

walt.farrell
So, perhaps instead of requesting a new feature, you're really reporting a bug with rotating a drop shadow? MickRose
I don't know if it's a bug or "by design" Pšenda 1 Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
carl123
It's not a bug. The outer shadow Angle setting represents a light source. If you rotate an object that light source (Angle) should not change. It's a feature request to provide a way to sync the Angle's rotation setting to the rotation of the object, rather than having to rotate an object then to rotate the Angle setting by the same amount Pšenda, woefi, Alfred and 1 other 3 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
