Hi gang

I have a connector png (attached) which i want to make look wet!

I have a water splash photo (also attached) which i can put on top of it with a soft light blend mode & it looks ok.

But how do make it so that the water effect is JUST on the connector?
If i drag it into the connector png (on the layers panel) it show in the whole square of the png rather than just the connector!

I could draw all around the connector & use it as a mask but is there an easier way?

Cheers

Pete

I found that using the selection brush to create a mask for the connector is much quicker, this mask can then be moved from the connecter pixel layer to the water image layer - then with Lock Children ticked on the context toolbar you can move and scale the water layer until you're happy with the effect.

I've attached a quick screen recording showing my workflow, I hope this helps!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
