pjh82
Hello! I have cut out an animal from a background so I can use the animal on whatever background I choose. The original image is about 3000x2000 px. When I've made the cutout I would like to resize the image to about 300x200 px. The problem is that all the edges on the animal gets transparent and I need to have pixels with 0% transparency. When I used Photoshop before I could control this in the resizing options but I can't seem to find it in Affinity Photo. Anyone who has a clue how to do it? I've tried all the different resample options but no luck. Look at the attached screenshots to see what I mean.

Anyone who has a clue how to do it? Unfortunately there's no equivalent option for this in Affinity Photo when resizing, however there may be a workaround for this workflow. Could you please provide a copy of your .afphoto file before resizing so I can investigate further here? Many thanks in advance! Alfred
You can use the ‘Coverage Map’ control to remove the antialiasing: Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)

Well I have change but not to the better. Still no sharp edges.
Staff Dan C Posted October 28, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 28, 2019 Thanks for your file, I too have been testing multiple methods including the above one Alfred has linked to and unfortunately I don't believe this is possible. When you resize the pixel data it is resampled and this causes the semi transparent pixels you're seeing, currently there's no way to change this - my apologies.
