jcburns
Opened a HEIC image in Photo 1.73. It correctly recognized the depth map and rendered it as a channel, but then said 'Assigned Profile' and assigned SRGB to this document. The file does have a profile inside for Display P3. Staff MEB Posted October 22, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 22, 2019 Hi jcburns, Do you mind attaching the HEIC file in question please? I've tested a few and the profile seems to be recognised correctly. Thanks. Note: I can provide an upload link if you wish to keep the file private. Staff MEB Posted October 25, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 25, 2019 Thanks for the file jcburns. Yes it's assigning the default profile here too. I've logged this to be looked at. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
MattK
Ver: Affinity Photo 1.8.3 on macOS Catalina 10.15.4 If HEIC file includes depth map layer (as in iPhone Portrait photo), Affinity Photo doesn't read colour profile data and applies default colour profile, resulting in a photo with shifted colours. When there is no depth layer, HEIC photo (including colour profile) is read properly. Edited May 3, 2020 by MattK
