Thomas Rabenstein
Hi Affinity team, I was using Publisher heavily on macOs Mojave and have converted nearly all my old book layouts to use Affinity Publisher now. Since I have upgraded to macOs Catalina and to Publisher 1.73, all my layouts do crash a few seconds after opening them. My Mac: MacPro, end of 2013, 32 GByte RAM, 6 cores. I do have no idea what I can do now because even smaller designs are not stable. All layouts have worked fine before. Is there a known issue with macOs Catalina and another update/fix for Publisher I should wait for? Please find the crash report, attached. Any hint you could give me would be appreciated. Kind regards, Thomas crash_report.rtf
Thomas Rabenstein
It seems I have found the issue ... On macOs Catalina, there is a more strict access control of directories. Since some of my design elements have been stored at different places (other folders), it seems this was the reason for the crash. After I gave Publisher full access to the SSD and made sure that all design elements are stored in the same folder where my project file is located, everything seems to work fine. I was able to continue to work on my project and book layout. Pauls
