juanborras
Hey there! Would it be possible to configure how many paragraphs will the drop cap span? Just say I want to have the Drop Cap only in the first paragraph for a whole paragraph style, some kind of "Drop Cap Span 1 paragraph" Thanks you very much for your work! Staff Patrick Connor Posted October 21, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 21, 2019 @juanborras Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Thanks for this, I will bring this up with the developers. I wonder if there is ever a time that you would want Drop Caps on more than the first paragraph? Perhaps it should be something that is ignored for any subsequent paragraphs of the same style (though that would fail when a body style with this set was interrupted by a bulleted list or something). juanborras
Hi Patrick! The thing is it makes Drop Cap every new paragraph on a text box. That's why I'm asking... or maybe Im not doing it the right way Thanks!
Staff Patrick Connor Posted October 21, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 21, 2019 Yes at the moment you would have it as a character style or a paragraph style that is derived from one that is used for all other paragraphs. But is the answer first paragraph only or your suggestion of a count, in which case when does it reset (after a different style perhaps) For now the only option is to define a paragraph style (without drop caps) for use on the rest of your document and then define a new style based on that style which also adds Drop caps. Then apply the derived style to only the paragraphs you want drop caps. All other elements of the style are edited in the base paragraph style.
