stingOM
Hi Folks, Is there a way to determine whether in general Photoshop plugins such as the ones shown below is compatible with Affinity Photo? https://cc-extensions.com/products/doubleusm/ https://www.knowhowtransfer.com/photoshop-professional-plugins/double-usm-control-dark-light-halos/ Thanks, Si
firstdefence
You can check here, although this list shows only the most common plugins: http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/photo/plugins-support/ Ultimately the only way to see if a plugin will work, work partially or not at all is to try and run it from Affinity Photo. Unless the plugin actually installs to what would be Photoshops Plugin folder you can forget about it working in Affinity Photo, anything like extensions, Panels etc will not work. John Rostron
The information provided by the links you give imply that the plugin is a Photoshop Extension. As such, it would not run under Affinity. Pity. It looks like a useful plugin. I note also that the vendor does not offer a trial download. Another pity. stingOM
Thanks folks for the feedback. I sent the company an email about this, but I don't have high hopes.
Davide.Barranca
I've replied privately to stingOM, but I'd like to post here as well FYI. The product we're talking about is made of a scriptable C++ plugin that relies on a CEP Panel for the GUI/internal logic, hence it is not portable to the Affinity ecosystem (yet, at least). As I've made clear elsewhere, many PS developers are eager to build products for Affinity, as soon as the technology will be ready. To date, it's not clear which shape or form it's going to have.
