Working with all three Affinity desktop products on PC I don't have problems with spell check on different pc's. But today I'm using Affinity Designer, Photo and Publisher on a new PC with the same settings in these programs as other systems, but for some reason the spell check wavy lines don't show up when typing something wrong.

I installed the dutch library the exact same way as on the other programs and in the menu the spelle checker is turned on. Even set the paragraph style to the dutch language to make sure I'm using some language. Typed something wrong to test, but still don't see the red wavy lines appear.

I tested this on both Designer and Publisher now, but without any luck.

Anybody has a clue on what I might be missing here?

One obvious reason would be having the preview mode on... Does the spelling check feature itself work (Text > Spelling > Check spelling) even if the red wavy lines do not show? Does hyphenation work? (Just to make sure that there is no problem with installation...)

No, the spelling check doesn't work either. It shows no text in the spelling window. I have the exact same settings as I have on my other systems related to spell check. I wrote down the exact steps to install and configure spelling check on affinity products and did the exact same steps on this new computer. So I'm a little lost on what could be differen on this new system. All affinity versions and library-versions are the same.

Have you verified that if you save the document on your new PC, and open it on your other PC, that the spelling does work there? That would confirm that you at least have the document setup correctly.

Have you tried using a built-in language like English to verify that you can get spelling working? That would confirm that it's not an issue with the installation of the dictionary.
