jeffers
Playing with the same pic taken in Raw and Jpg. on camera. Can someone explain the difference between using clarity (clarify) in the raw developer raw file and the haze removal filter used on the same pic jpg. in Photo. The result seems the same or very similar. Thanks.
Staff Dan C Posted October 19, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 19, 2019 Hi jeffers The following is taken from our help file- Clarity—sharpens your image by controlling local contrast at image edges. (https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Adjustments/adjustment_enhance.html?title=Enhance adjustment) Haze Removal - can remove slight to extreme cases of haze affecting an image. Its most typical use is for landscape photography where the haze causes low contrast and low saturation, but it can also be used to improve images taken during rainy and foggy conditions.https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Filters/filter_haze.html?title=Haze Removal As both adjustments affect the contrast of the image this may be why you're seeing similar results. I hope this helps!
