Possible BUG - I can't add gradient to swatches

This seems logical: with a vector object, the gradient is a property of this object and can be retrieve, modified and save as a gradient, on a pixel layers, there are only values for pixels, you can't edit the gradient later, like when applying a gradient to a mask. So you can't memorize the gradient you used on those pixels since it was merge with the values of the pixels.

It is added to the "Recend used colours", if you apply it to a vector object, you should be able to save it.

Hi, i’m struggling with the same problem. So, I’m not sure if is possible a bug.

Steps to the behaviour:

  1. I was not able to save a gradient as a swatch
  2. I deleted the folders for Affinity Photo from my user profile
  3. I started Affinity Photo again
  4. I was able to save the gradient as a swatch. But I also recognized that some parts of the UI where not German
  5. I closed AP again started and it was NOT possible to save the gradient as a swatch. And everything was German
  6. I switched to English
  7. Now it’s possible to save again and again, even I restart

Maybe somebody with a similar setup (Windows 10, Affinity Photo 1.7.3)  can validate this behaviour.

I don't think the language of the operating system will be important.

My setup : Windows 10 Pro, 32 GB RAM, AMD Threadripper 1950x, Affinity Photo 1.7.3
