Nikos
Hi there, One of the big news of iOS 13 is the ability to attach USB sticks, SSD drives etc snd have access to all the files (at last!). However, I cannot access these attached media from the Affinity apps. The attached media does not appear in the Files browser WITHIN Photo, while I can see it in the Files app. Is this an iOS bug/limitation? If it is not, I think it should be top priority to have this feature. So that we are able to leave the laptops at home when going outdoors! conrad2k
Using iPadOS 13 and an SD card reader AP doesn’t show up as an available app in the Share list in the Files app, though the Darkroom app does, so it appears that AP isn’t registering with iPadOS. The only workaround that I have found is to Share->Save and then go the AP and Import from Photos.

Well, I am sure that the nice people at Serif understand that this is a top priority for all of us who shoot outdoors !
Evan123
In addition to USB, one also cannot access SMB shares via Affinity Photo "Open from Cloud", but these are available through the Files app. The Files chooser when called from Affinity Photo also is not honouring dark mode setting. Cecil
I just purchased a USB/Lightning drive and iPad Pro Files App does not recognize the drive when connected directly to the iPad Pro. Although I read today that Apple opened the Files App to Third Party developers, they need some in house work. ajkinchin
Hi cannot access my photos unless I store them on my WD cloud drive, then access them over a wireless link. PLEASE try to allow us to access SD/USB/SDD from within Affinity as this was the main reason I bought it for the iPad. Other programs do allow me to access the drives within them.. Nikos
I'm glad this has been fixed in 1.8 beta. Here is an HDR I created from an attached SD card. (Originally it was 42 MP 😀 )
