in this tjutorial talked drawing rectange with bitmap fill not available anymore? older version i have it but now i dont see it in filling options.

Hi MxHeppa,

That link is talking about using the Paper Textures to fill a rectangle and not the brush.  You would draw out the rectangle, select the Fill Tool, change it's mode to Bitmap and then browse for the Paper Texture.

@MxHeppa Study carefully the video in the Spotlight article beginning at about 0:20 seconds & you will see this being done.

Have you tried doing exactly what the video shows or following the steps below the video?

For example, start by opening one of the DAUB® Watercolour Papers in Affinity Photo. You should find them in a folder named "Papers." Each one is a png file, for example the one named "DAUB_PaperTexture_008.png."

If you can find that file, open it in Affinity Photo. Don't place it in an existing document or copy & paste it into one, just open it like you would a png photo document. Then select one of the DAUB® Watercolours and Washes brushes & paint on the paper.

Can you do that much?

yes and i can do colourful paper this way i make new document where i draw for example light yellow rectange and place paper top of this using overlay. and paint with own layer whivch is mixed with mulply then i think i get result what they mean at least pleasing result also pleasing when this paper is placed with multiply.

Those are small textures for filling layers.

For this, you need to:

1. create a rectangle or another form
2. Select the Gradient/Fill tool and set the fill option to Bitmap
3. Select a texture
4. Resize the handles for the texture to be at the appropriate size
