Bimberlee
Hello, Totally new this Affinity designer and have been so far able to figure some things out from using the tutorials but I'm stuck on this. I would like to create a picture within a diamond shape and would like to know how to delete the overhanging shapes from the diamond. So basically everything outwith the blue diamond i want to erase. Thanks :)
dutchshader
Select the 3 items and ctrl X, select the diamond and paste inside ctrl alt v or drag the 3 items in the diamond. In the layerspanel drag untill a you see a bleu line. GarryP
Just to add to what dutchshader said above, for more information look in the Help under Layers and find the entries for Layer Clipping and Layer Masking. (It's not easy to find what you want in the help if you don't know what it's called.)

Note that when you clip (or ‘nest’) vector objects/layers the clipping layer (i.e. the diamond, in this example) remains visible outside of the clipped objects, but when you crop (or ‘mask’) vector objects/layers the cropping object disappears.
