When using Affinity apps on macOS Catalina you may receive an onscreen notification stating that our app(s) would like to record this computer's screen. Don't worry, Affinity is not recording your screen. This permission is needed for the app's colour picker to sample colours within and outside the app's UI. This setting can be changed at any time by going to Security & Privacy > Privacy > Screen Recording within Apple's System Preferences.
