Ligature copy problems

Recommended Posts

hi,

WIn10/64/Pub V 1.7.3.475

attached is simple afpub file, where a text is written in a text block within the master page.

One the common text page itself you see (also the pic here):

line 1 - content of master page
line 2 - the whole text block of the master page is copied and pasted to the page
line 3 - the text only of the master page itself is copied & pasted from the master page to a new text block
line 4 - the text only of the master page itself is copied & pasted with ctrl+alt+shift+V from the master page to a new text block
In all these lines you can't get access to single letters - only to the beginning and end of the text block

line 5 - the text only of the master page itself is copied and inserted in a new text block by "insert content" (rtf) only.  That works.
But: look at the "fi" at "Qualifizierung" .. it doubles .. in detail (if you try to delete): the first is a ligature "fi", the second ones are single letters "f" and "i" ...
The same happens if you copy this text and paste it into e.g. Windows simple text editor. It seems rather independent of the font you are using.
