Hello,
I come here to expose a problem that I had on a .eps file created under AFD. Indeed, this file transmitted to a friend who works with AI is pixelated and not vectorized and there is no possibility to break down the elements of the file.

Does anyone else have this kind of problem? I specify that the visual was made with the brushes "chunky markers"

If made with the brushes these are not vector brushes in the true sense, they are raster (PNG files) along a vector path.

Hi AltOber :)

Could you please provide a copy of the .afdesign file and screenshots of your export settings?

Although as firstdefence has mentioned, these brushes are not true vector - however the curves should still be editable as vector when exported to eps, hence I'd like the file to investigate further!

Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.

If you require urgent assistance, please create a new thread and a member of our team will be sure to assist asap.

Many thanks :)

This file whether an EPS or PDF, will not open as anything other than rasterised images in Adobe Illustrator, telling the exporter to not rasterise anything will lose the strokes texture because it is a raster image and you will end up with this...

In Adobe Illustrator, their brushes are pure vector files, so based mainly on eps, ai files. A comparable Affinity scenario would be creating vector brushes based on afdesign files, this is not possible at the moment but I hope they will get round to it soon so we can have pure vector brushes in Affinity, meaning vector graphics on curves/paths.
