Shortcut for next tab

Recommended Posts

On Windows, Next Window has the default keyboard short Ctrl+Tab, and Previous Window has the default shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Tab. You can find them in the Affinity Preferences, under Miscellaneous.

On Mac the defaults might be Cmd+Tab and Cmd+Shift+Tab, but you can find out for sure by looking at your Preferences.

Cmd+tab is an OS-level shortcut to move to the next open app, and cmd+shift+tab moves to the previous open app.

Palatino appears to be asking for a keyboard shortcut to move back and forth between open documents (when open as tabs) in Affinity apps. I was not aware that there was a way to do so in Affinity apps, but Walt's clue helped me find it. It is called "Switch to Next View" and "Switch to Previous View" under the Miscellaneous shortcuts, and the default shortcut is cmd+` (that's a tilde) and cmd+shift+`.

Views are something different, Garrett. At least on Windows. (But I'm sure I've had a discussion about that before :) and maybe there is some Mac difference.)

Do your Miscellenaous preferences show Next Window and Previous Window?

Or are those Next and Previous View on Mac?

Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab really changes the tabs. Surprise. :D

But more important for me is that I could use a trackpad gesture for the tab change. This hasn't worked in any affinity program yet.
