Hello Support ! We got surprised by the step taken by Serif Affinity team on bringing new functionality into ADesigner that made the software even usable and one of it was symbols. That time you made the move, other software specialized on Web Design (Vector Design) where playing on other ground and suddenly adopted the symbol thing and i see few have quite improved it. Personally i was waiting for ADesigner to offer new stuffs like wire stuff that allow to connect artboards etc... in fact, now that Muse and other Website design software are dead, we all tends to rely on what we have and i see a lot of people switching to XD and they do evangelize a lot about it. So i ask again, have you dropped the web design land ? Are we going to see more stuffs that will make ADesigner the tool we would use for website design ? Is the publisher what you are now preparing to do that job ?
Add functionality to whiteboards to allow for use of designer as a wire framing, process mapping tool. As a UX designer, I make use of designer to create wireframes and ui mockups. Whilst more specific tools exist I prefer the ease of use and quality that designer offers. For use as a UI tool, it has recently made some great advances, a useful feature however would be to link artboards together to show the links between CTA and destination targets. Another way of doing this would be to have a parent dartboard that thumbnails of the other artboards could be included. This would allow the creation of advanced process flows.
I really like to see a Prototyping persona in AD, if it could extend to iPad, it would be even more perfect. I use Adobe Experience Design and Axure and a few others for prototyping, but they are not perfect in my opinion. I know how focused you guys are at improving fluency of user experience and making things feel natural (main reason i ditched adobe CC) so im betting on you guys making the perfect solution. I hope it happens soon though. Cant wait for the day that all i need to sustain my professional workflow is AD and AF, with both on iPad, i may just leave my macbook behidn and start working professionally just on iPad. Cheers.
