  1. The new feature for applying distortions opens up many new possibilities. However, it seems that it is not possible to use the magnetic alignment for the corners or control points of the warping grid. Exact alignment is thus not possible. Attached you will find a very simple example. Working with isometric grids is not an alternative for me. Therefore I would appreciate it very much if you add magnetic alignment for warp control points!
  2. I see in the roadmap for Designer that a Mesh Warp tool is on the way and know there is such a tool in Photo already, but the feature in both Illustrator and Photoshop, that I use the most, that is missing in the Affinity apps is the ability to apply different shape transformations: wave, arch, circular arch, arch top, arch bottom, etc. to live typefaces and to edit the amount and shape of these transformations at any time. In Photoshop, for instance, I can create a type object, apply various effects to it, then arch it, but later come back and edit kerning, the actual text and even the typeface. This feature is also available in Illustrator. This ability is the what I need most to fully replace Photoshop and Illustrator for my art creation purposes, which is my goal. I'd like Affinity Designer and Photo to be my full permanent replacements for Adobe apps. They are super close and I am using them for most things already, but the Live Type warping tool would really seal the deal. Thanks.
  3. Hi there, I am trying to convert a square shaped border image that has text incorporated into the border onto a cd, turning it into a circular shape...when I had Adobe PS, this was an easy task that took me seconds...but this time, I have spent hours trying to find a solution and have a deadline to meet and am refusing to pay an extortionate monthly fee just to use Photoshop just for this. I have exhausted my trial offers too. I have only been using Affinity Design for about two months and have scoured the net for tutorials and haven't found any help in the forums here either...does anyone have any suggestions please? I have included past work demonstrating what it should look like as well as the image I need help with, the client wanted it in black but the printers didn't like it so have had to rework everything and invert the lot...which was a lot of hard work I'd rather not do again, although that's looking like its all I can do. Thanks in advance! OUTER FRONT COVER-CV CD-NEW-PSD-improved.pdf

  5. Hi there is a feature in Photoshop CC that allows you to change the perspective of a building in a photo. Does Affinity Photo have such a feature? It appears like it does in the Help items but can't figure it out... Help! Is there a tutorial anywhere? o.tiff
