  1. I began the illustrations for this in AD V1, but it went on the back burner for ages. I recently finished them -- all in V2 -- and yesterday I put the video together. Billy Bennett was a very popular 'comic turn' on the Variety stage in the 1920s and 1930. He specialised in songs an monologues, includng parodies of well-known 'straight' monologues.
  2. Hi, in this Affinity Photo Tutorial I show how to capture this hotspot with a beautiful mood. The Charles Bridge in Prague is beautiful, but also very crowded. If you're unlucky with the weather, your short vacation seems to end without a nice photo. Here I show important steps from taking photos to editing. I wish you fun & inspiration (perhaps for getting out early in your city). Ciao Jack
  3. Hi in this affinity photo tutorial I show how to photograph St. Peter's Basilica at night and then edit it. The challenge is the big difference between light and shadow. The colors are adjusted slightly and people are removed. I wish you inspiration and a merry christmas. Ciao Jack
  4. I would love it if you would create a Video Editing Software like premier (but better obviously) As a college student I have two choices pay the expensive price of £16 a month for Adobe's okay software or get it offline illegally and unsafe. I have already Purchased Affinity Photo, am about to Purchase Affinity Designer but would absolutely love it if there was a affinity video editor for my media. I know this might not be your kinda thing but it would be so great and I know so many people would rather use this than adobe. You're ahead of them, keep it up.
  5. Animatior in Affinity Photo, and or Timeline?? I think that it would be super cool if Affinity Photo like Photoshop added frame by frame animation, this is a huge downside to using Affinity Photo for me, I don't think it should become a seperate product since, well, I already have Affinity Photo, I do not need a full fledged animator and they already have their hands busy. The idea would be you could makes frames and export them as .gifs and maybe .mp4's? that would be cool! all the features would pretty much be a copy of photoshop (maybe some cool feature aswell.), then cartoonists could animate, photo editors could do some sick things and designers could make sick banners and internet .gifs, If affinity added this, I would completely forget about photoshop and leave it in the dust, affinity is amazing and with animation it would be great! Thanks for reading this post! please consider this :D - Segovo
  6. I was asked about making a Rivet Brush, but I think it can be done with Stroke and Effects... so I made a video https://youtu.be/zAPtNUijwxM
  7. I would like to create reports, portfolios and other pdf documents with integrated videos and not with a link so that people can see this external to the pdf, so I would like to know if it has this functionality or if it doesn't, what is the forecast of having this available. Thanks
  8. Please add the feature to import a VIDEO file to get single frames of that video as images on separate layers. = „Video Frames to Layers“ in Photoshop: „Video Frames to Layers“ File-> Import -> „Video Frames to Layers“ The Option „Limit to every _ n_ Frames“ is essential to have in this feature. This feature maybe was not sooo important for a long time, but now it has become a very interesting feature, esp. for web designers, as one can „fake“ a video-scroll effect with such an image sequence, without having the disadvantages of video on (mobile) websites. I hope, you get what I’m trying to describe here? ;) It would be very, very helpful just to KNOW, if you are planning to implement this feature. Thank you very much in advance! And thank you SO much for all the great work you do! I wish you best of luck with just everything!!! :) P.S.: http://www.muse-themes.com/products/frame-scrubber Here you can find a video (next to „Widget Highlights“) that will explain, why this feature would be so extremely nice to have… :)
  9. Hey Everyone, Here is a timelapse video of me creating a watercolor still life painting in Affinity designer. I had a lot of fun playing with the different brushes and testing the different capabilities of the software. Enjoy! Here is the video from start to finish: https://youtu.be/y6l6-wOOf2A Let me know what you think? Thanks, Mike
  10. James Ritson's Introduction to the iPad UI seems to stall and fail after about 2 minutes (I have tried multiple times, in two good wifi environments, using an iPad Air 2). I need to get to grips with the UI as there are a lot of operations I carry out with ease on the desktop Mac app which appear unduly difficult to do on the iPad app, for example inverting masks and selections, and the hit and miss setting adjustment layers by + or - number rather than sliding up the effect until it's right. I'm hoping to find better approaches revealed in the video....!
  11. This video has wrong caption in Japanese. https://affinity.serif.com/ja-jp/tutorials/designer/desktop/video/301822426/ The caption seems to be the one from this. https://affinity.serif.com/ja-jp/tutorials/designer/desktop/video/301821541/
  12. Do you have any plan of motion/video application? There is a timeline animation function in PS, but it doesn't fit my workflow, and I don't want this function in Affinity Designer as well. I want a motion/video application that follows affinity operation logic. (You are the game changer!) I'm really looking forward alternative of AE. Wish you could consider developing this new product in the future. 😃
  13. Well, it's been a pretty awful year. let's hope things will start to improve. Here's my New Year video, made with APhoto and MoviePlus. For those who can't understand the lads' Black Country accents (which will be most of you, I expect!) I've provided subtitles in English -- click on the little icon in the bottom right-hand corner.
  14. Hi Affinity forum, I have created this blog post and video on how to add contrast in three different ways in Affinity Photo. Check it out here: Add Contrast Like A Pro - Using Affinity Photo I hope you like it. Feel free to share it. Thanks, Peter Dam Dam-photo.com
  15. Since Affinity has now a complete package of graphics products I felt it might be time to throw out a possibility for a new version of an old product under the Affinity brand! I'm a big fan of Affinity Designer and "MOVIE PLUS X6" ! I've been using Movie Plus since its inception. I have software from Adobe, Pinnacle and others but none are as versatile as Movie Plus. Its workflow, I find to be, the most efficient and productive of any video editing software. In my humble opinion, with a little updating to handle the newer codecs, it would once again be world class. I would bet there are others who continue to use Movie Plus both professionally and as a hobbyist. So, I just can't imagine that you folks have given up on video editing and authoring after producing such a stellar product.
  16. Hello to all! Crazy idea … Is it possible to #save #history as a #video while #editing or #creating anything in your #amazing #software ?! Please, make it possible! Thanks! #AffinityPhoto #AffinityDesigner #AffinityPublisher http://bobarev.com
  17. In this video, you will see the process from the sketch stage to the vector drawing stage of the Davraz Off Road logo, which I prepared using Procreate, Affinity Designer and iPad Pro. I hope you will like it.
  18. Hi everyone, My Speed Drawing one main hero from Legendary Marvel Universe. Thanks for Watching
  19. hey there, I'm sharing this work and a complete video that I've made using Affinity Designer on ipad pro I hope you will enjoy the techniques that I use to build my characters, you can download some projects done in my youtube, it's available in my patreon for learning community on there I dedicate time to public exercises and useful contents for affinity users, illustrators, and designers. Thank you!
  20. Hey all, I'm really happy to announce that I've just released the first few videos of my passion project, the Shooting Series! What it's about I love photography and video - I'll often go out and shoot specific material for use in the Affinity Photo tutorials to demonstrate certain features, and this has fed into my desire to cover a mixture of well-known and esoteric shooting techniques. It's my goal, then, to produce a video series that looks at all kinds of weird and wonderful photographic techniques - from shooting for stacking (long exposure simulation, noise reduction) to light painting, "big stopper" effects, portrait panoramas, focus stacking landscapes.. the list goes on. I'm constantly gathering material and planning/scripting videos, but I've just put the finishing touches on a few of the videos and felt it was about time to share them. Where applicable, I'll also be providing sample materials to download. Additionally, I've also put accompanying articles up on my website that provide some additional tips and insights. Long Exposure Water - Watch on YouTube - Read article In this video we're looking at the popular technique of using long exposure times to create shots with blurred motion; in this particular case, we're focusing on water. When you shoot water with long exposures, it takes on a smoother, "flowing" and sometimes ethereal appearance. In the video, I cover the use of both variable and fixed Neutral Density filters, as well as square filters with a filter bracket. Burst Stacking - Watch on YouTube - Read article - Download sample images Here we're exploring the use of stacking in post to create a long exposure look from a burst of images. It's a very esoteric technique, but can prove very useful in certain circumstances: you could, for example, find yourself in a situation where you want to achieve a long exposure look to some water, but don't have either a means of stabilisation or any ND filters to cut down the light for a slower shutter speed. I've also provided a ZIP archive with image samples for two of the compositions so you can stack them and see the effect. Big Stopper - Watch on YouTube - Read article - Download sample images In this video we're taking a look at setting up the camera for a "big stopper" effect with landscapes, as well as exploring stacking in post production to both enhance and emulate the effect. Also provided is a ZIP archive with image samples for two of the examples so you can experiment with stacking them. Polarisers - Watch on YouTube - Read article In this short and sweet video we're taking a look at polarisers, examining their benefits and caveats. Portrait Panoramas - Watch on YouTube - Read article Check out how to capture more vertical space in your panoramas by shooting in portrait orientation. --- Hope you find them interesting and useful!
  21. 周末在家无聊,到网上找了一张图片,然后模仿着画了一只。
  22. I'm currently trying out the free trial of Affinity Photo and decided to spend the evening streaming - I thought it would make a neat timelapse! The one major thing that I couldn't figure out was text on a path. Really enjoying how easy it is to transition from 14 years of Photoshop. I am excited to see what else I can do with this!
  23. I saw this video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX_h98OW4-8&list=WL&index=14&t=754s It's about compositing video into an image and the tutorial is made for Photoshop. However, I wondered if it is possible to do the same on either WIN desktop or ipad pro 2017? I have been unable to place the downloaded mp4 file onto ipad and thought this may not be available in Affinity Photo?
  24. This is a video of me talking about a couple of the problems with how Designer deals with color, and likely Affinity Photo as well. And this video should explain at least somewhat well why the gradients are too dark. If there are any Affinity devs active here, a response/acknowledgement of the problem/solution from them would be appreciated. Thanks! P.S. Shortly after I made this vid, I actually did go and buy AD. So I hope even more now that these problems get fixed. Like the point I tried to make in the video, would these issues really be that hard to program out? affinitydesignerproblem.mp4
