  1. Hi, i would like to ask for a more precise tool to select HSL ranges. I `m usuall finding myself recoloring a lot and the precision would safe a lot of time form masking and etc Changing the values on the wheel is very crude i think. Really hard to nail it tightly down Additionaly i hate when moving external grey circles move the internal ones ;( when i just pinpointed at least one part Maybe there is a way to do it but i cannot find nothing ;( -Piotr
  2. It's easier to operate on small values, also there will be no need to do math (yay) So let say I want to rotate object clockwise by 67 degrees. That's easy - just enter 67. But when rotating counterclockwise things starts to look more complicated. I must calculate 360-67 to know it's 297... damn 293. See? What about just entering -67, and moving on? (maybe I mixed directions, but general idea still holds up)
  3. Hello, I really need to see adjustment input/output values (percentages) in the curves adjustment layer palet as in Photoshop This is the only reason why I can't switch to Affinity Photo and still use Photoshop I need to see values so I can correct to colors to certain minimal % to prevent breackoff by flexo printing Please .. I really want to use Affinity Photo and asking already 2 years for this feature
  4. Hello! I have a suggestion Add the ability for artboards to always have integer values for position and size. At the moment, fractional values in the arbord position are very disturbing. If you do not return the integers, during the export of artboard, the image is exported with the wrong size. I can't imagine when artboard may need fractional values. This only creates problems in the work.
  5. Double click any swatch in the Swatches panel Switch to any of the sliders controls (RGB, CMYK, LAB, happens in all of them) if needed Place cursor on the first field (R for RGB or C for CMYK, etc...) in the flyout window Type a new number, works fine Tab to the second value (G or M, etc...), type new value, works fine Tab to the third value (B or Y, etc..), you can't type anymore I aso noticed the if you tab between like above, but without changing value, by the time you reach the third value the focus switches from the Swatches panel flyout to the application main menu at the top. Thanks!
  6. Hello everyone! I have been running into this many times. When trying to create macros, the values saved sometimes change when trying to access the macro later. This is very bad. Especially since it completely destroys the purpose of using macros, which is saving time. So basically, I have to create some of the macros from scratch all the time. This happens especially after closing and opening documents or Photo itself. Also, especially transform and crop values seem to be very fragile. For example, scaling on X by 50% and on Y by 50% results in scaling by 200% on X and 200% on Y. If I remember correctly, values sometimes even store asymmetrically (for example, 50%, 50% resulting in 200%, 100%). To reproduce, please try to create a macro for scaling a layer by 50% and one for scaling it by 25%. Then, create a macro for cropping the document by 50% and one for cropping it by 25%. Those are 4 macros that I frequently use and which very frequently break. Can somebody look into this and confirm this as a bug? And maybe somebody can fix this? Or could I be doing something wrong? I do save the macros to the Library. Best wishes, Shu EDIT: Software used: Affinity Photo 1.5.1, Affinity Designer 1.5.1, OSX 11.6 EDIT 2: Alright, after posting this, I created a new macro. But it didn't take a long time for it to break. When creating it, the values were set to 50% and 50% for both X and Y, but now, after clicking on the macro without anything happening, I tried to edit the macro, which showed me the 50% values have been set to 100% by itself resulting in no scaling at all:
  7. In a document with multiple artboards the Guides Manager places guides erratically. It's rather hard to describe, but it's really easy to reproduce: 1. Create multiple artboards inside any file, preferably with 2. Open the Guides Manager and try to add vertical and horizontal guides 3. Modify their position using numeric values (for example, 20mm, 50mm, 85mm) 4. Instead of accepting the values Affinity will override the value with random (?) negative values such as -322,2 mm 5. This only happens in one of the axis while the other works fine, which axis misbehaves seems to be related to the position of the artboard on screen Strangely guides placed by dragging from the rulers work fine. Until you try to edit their values that is... Everything seems to work fine in documents without artboards. Thanks!
  8. Good morning everyone. I'm not hundred percent sure this is a bug, but at least, it acts exactly like if it was for me. I'll probably fill an Apple Bug Report, in case it's Apple fault, but if so, I'm sure you guys would have more chances to get listened by Apple doing your own. Here's the situation, I like to use the Apple Color Picker, because I can create per client color palettes. So whatever application I'm using to create something for my client, I can call the Apple Picker and get my clients colors from it. I've notice that when I'm using it, my selected and applied colors get their values changed on Affinity. How to reproduce: • Create a new Affinity Designer document, and set it to RBG/sRGB IEC61966-2.1 space color. • Create a new shape and set it's fill color to 216, 0, 16 • Unselect the shape! • Open the Apple Color Picker, go to Color Slider tab. Choose RGB Sliders and (important), on the little gear at the right of the dropdown, choose sRBG so your color will be defined as this (from my understanding). Choose 216, 0, 16 • Switch to Color Palettes tab and add you newly created color • Select back your previously created shape and by looking to the RBG Sliders of Affinity, clic your saved color on the Apple Color Picker. Bam, colors have been changed to 204, 0, 15, which are the values in Generic RBG space. Any light to bright my issue? As always, thanks for the support.
  9. Hello everyone! When I change the height or width of a path In the transform tab, Designer will round the values to .x. I am using millimeters and when I enter something like 5.695mm, I will end up with 5.7mm. Is there a way of doing things more accurately? Best wishes, Shu
  10. I have received .psd & .eps file pairs from our designer (Adobe CS user). There are 3 pairs, each pair with a certain icon design and colour gradient (attached). If I open each .psd and .eps pair in Photoshop, they show identical results/values (as they should). In AP, the .eps files open up as per Photoshop, but the .psd files all have incorrect values for the colour gradients ... Archive.zip
  11. A keyboard combination for a 1/10 stepping is missing. - Like alt + cursor key. Explanation: Currently: Selecting an object or a value field. Tapping the cursor keys increments or decrements the value or object position by 1 step. So you can adjust object attributes. Holding the shift key while tap the cursor keys increments or decrements the value or object position by 10 steps at once. So you can adjust object attributes in broad range. But which key do you have to hold, to do the opposite? To make the fine adjustments. The increment or decrement the first number behind the floating point. - So in other App you have to hold the alt key, to increment or decrement the values or object position by 1/10 steps. I'm missing that in Affinity Designer and Photo.
  12. How about a feature that's seen on some software (including most adobe apps)… where as clicking on a field name with a box next to it for inputting values will auto select the preset values so that the user can quickly input their desired values. For now the user has to manually mouse over into the field and highlight the text to delete/input the numbers, The attached screenshot should demonstrate what I mean. Thank you and keep up the great work Affinity Designer looks VERY promising!
