Don't know if this is a bug, if so it's present in the current Designer Beta too. The Artistic Tool creates a box/frame, when drawing out for adding text. The appearance is the same as if using the Text Frame Tool. Prior to this when releasing your mouse, you get the single cursor blinking line, instead of a box with the control points around it.

Affinity Publisher and Visio allow creating text on any shape without converting the shape to a text box. This allows the shape's fill, stroke etc. to be changed while keeping the text (and formatting) associated with it as a single object. Instead of having a group consisting of both a shape and text, it can be a single object with directly editable text. In Designer, as soon as I insert text onto/into a shape, the shape is converted to a text box without any fill or border properties. -
I have a 15 inch laptop. My tool bar extends only as far as the healing brush tool. The text frame tool, which I want to use, is off screen. How can I remedy this? Thank-you. -
Is there a way to resize text created with Text Frame Tool using the transform option? I know there is a way to manually resize the text using that outer lever...but I want the text to be specifically a certain size...and when I normally transform, it simply reflows the text.
